KARACHI: On October 10, 2025, His Excellency Herman Hardynata Ahmad, Consul General of Malaysia in Karachi, had the pleasure of meeting three distinguished Malaysian chefs — Chef Zubair Zain, Chef Kamaruddin “Bob” Adnin, and Chef Rudy Junaidie — who were invited as esteemed judges for the 4th Karachi International Culinary Salonniere, held from October 9 to 11, 2025, at Avari Towers, Karachi.

The event, organized by the Karachi Chefs Association, brought together culinary experts, professionals, and enthusiasts from across the region to celebrate innovation, creativity, and excellence in gastronomy. The presence of the Malaysian chefs added an international dimension to the competition, highlighting Malaysia’s vibrant culinary heritage and strengthening cultural and professional ties between Malaysia and Pakistan.

During the meeting, His Excellency Herman Hardynata Ahmad commended the efforts of the Malaysian chefs for their active participation in promoting culinary diplomacy and representing Malaysia’s diverse food culture on a global platform. He also appreciated the Karachi Chefs Association for organizing such an esteemed event that fosters international collaboration and exchange of culinary expertise.
The 4th Karachi International Culinary Salonniere featured multiple competitive categories, live demonstrations, and networking sessions aimed at enhancing culinary standards and showcasing the talents of both local and international chefs.
His Excellency further emphasized the importance of continued people-to-people engagement through food and culture, expressing confidence that such initiatives would further deepen the friendly relations between Malaysia and Pakistan.
