KARACHI: 21-member delegation of doctors from Ivory Coast visited the Hon. Consulate of Ivory Coast in Karachi, where they were warmly received by the Hon. Consul, Mr. Fazal Karim Dadabhoy.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Dadabhoy conveyed his sincere good wishes and emphasized the longstanding friendship and cordial relations between Ivory Coast and Pakistan. He expressed confidence that such exchanges further strengthen the bonds of goodwill and mutual understanding between the two nations.

In his address, the Hon. Consul highlighted the strong potential for expanding bilateral trade and cooperation. “Currently, trade between Pakistan and Ivory Coast stands at approximately 200 million dollars. However, there exists vast potential to enhance this figure by building upon our complementarities and identifying new avenues of collaboration,” Mr. Dadabhoy stated.

He also noted that the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) had recently organized a rice festival in Abidjan, reflecting Pakistan’s commitment to deepening economic engagement with Ivory Coast. “Such initiatives, along with visits like today’s, open doors for greater professional linkages and enhanced business opportunities,” he added.

Mr. Dadabhoy reaffirmed that under Pakistan’s Focus Africa Policy, the country is committed to further strengthening its presence on the African continent and expanding its partnership with Ivory Coast across multiple sectors.

The visit concluded in a spirit of friendship and cooperation, underlining the shared commitment of both countries to foster deeper ties in health, trade, and beyond.
