KUALA LUMPUR/ ABU DHABI: The Global Halal Summit officially launched on Friday, 19 September, 2025, in conjunction with the 21st Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2025). The prestigious Opening Ceremony was graced by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, together with ministry leaders and esteemed guests of honour.

The programme featured welcoming remarks by YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na’im bin Haji Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), followed by opening remarks from YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI). The highlight of the ceremony was the keynote address delivered by the Prime Minister, which set the tone for the Global Halal Summit 2025 under the theme of Integrity, Sustainability, and Resilience.

The event underscored Malaysia’s strong commitment to advancing the global Halal economy, fostering impactful dialogue, and driving collaboration among international leaders, policymakers, and industry players. With its focus on innovation and inclusivity, the summit reaffirms Malaysia’s role as a global hub for the Halal industry.
