ABU DHABI: The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, today received Mawlana Hazar Imam at Qasr Al Shati, the presidential palace of the UAE in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman, Presidential Court for Special Affairs; H.H. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; H.E. Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office; H.E. Sultan Ali Allana, Representative of the Aga Khan; and Aziz Merchant, President of Ismaili Council for the UAE.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed and Hazar Imam discussed how the UAE and the Ismaili Imamat can partner to address areas of mutual interest and concern, especially in shared human values, co-existence, quality of life, and inclusiveness.
Hazar Imam praised the UAE’s role in humanitarian assistance, stability, peace and promoting shared values across the Ummah.
The leaders emphasised that they must work together to strengthen the wider Ummah’s unity, moderation, and resilience in a time of global uncertainty.
