KARACHI: The music program “Signature Melodies” was held on Tuesday, 26th August, at Auditorium No. 1, Arts Council of Pakistan. The event featured a carefully curated selection of 26 songs from Pakistani cinema, covering the golden era from 1948 to 1980. Each song, originally performed by legendary playback singers, was presented by a group of talented young artists.

The participating performers included Kamran Saggu, Sara Hasan, Mazhar Iqbal, Maria Saud, Ahad Khan, Kainat John, Ali Roman, and Mahrookh Khan. Each of them beautifully rendered the most popular numbers of iconic singers, bringing nostalgia alive for the audience.

The auditorium was filled to capacity with music enthusiasts who enjoyed the program from start to finish. The event was organised and conducted by Shakil Jafri and Shazleen Vahidy Iqbal, who kept the momentum lively and engaging throughout.

The evening turned out to be a memorable celebration of Pakistan’s rich film music heritage.
