KARACHI: In a spirit of patriotism and unity, Sakan-e-Sheza Trust proudly celebrated 78 years of Pakistan’s Independence along with the commemoration of “Marka-e-Haq” on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The memorable gathering, held at Kanteen Restaurant on Main Tipu Sultan Road, was graced by the leadership of Erum Saaim, Founder of Sakan-e-Sheza Trust, alongside a host of iconic women from diverse fields.
The event carried a deep sense of pride and gratitude, paying tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army and honoring the values that define the nation.

A highlight of the celebration was the presence of Dr. Ratna Deewan, Deputy Director at the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEDP), who joined the festivities and reaffirmed her support for initiatives that empower communities, including women and persons with disabilities.
The program featured patriotic segments, inspiring speeches, and moments of reflection on Pakistan’s journey since independence. Attendees expressed their collective resolve to continue contributing positively to the country’s progress and to uphold the values of resilience, unity, and compassion.

Erum Saaim, in her address, emphasized the importance of women’s active participation in national development and the power of community-driven efforts in shaping a stronger, more inclusive Pakistan.
