The Sindh Boy Scouts Association proudly celebrated National Flag Day with a vibrant program in Karachi, bringing together scouts and girl guides from various districts to honor Pakistan’s emblem of unity and pride.

The celebration featured a series of competitions, including national flag-making, poster painting, and tableaux performances. Participants from District Central, District South, and Town Municipal Corporation Saddar District showcased their creativity and patriotism. Winners were recognized with prizes for first, second, and third positions.

Speakers’ Highlights:

  • Syed Akhtar Mir, Provincial Secretary, Sindh Boy Scouts Association, emphasized the historic importance of August 11, recalling that Liaquat Ali Khan presented the national flag to the Constituent Assembly in 1947.
  • Dr. Samreen Hussain, Vice Chancellor, Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, underscored the role of scouting in fostering discipline and civic responsibility among youth.
  • Justice (Retd) Syed Hassan Feroz, Provincial Commissioner, reflected on the flag as a symbol of unity, sacrifice, and the struggle for independence.
  • Noor Hassan Jokhio, Municipal Commissioner, Saddar Town, highlighted that the flag was chosen under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to represent Pakistan’s values and unity, noting that National Flag Day serves to reinforce respect for this symbol and the nation’s history.

The event concluded with a reaffirmation of commitment to national solidarity and pride, inspiring participants to carry forward the legacy of respect and honor for the Pakistani flag.
