Thailand, Pakistan Explore Development Cooperation in Healthcare and Technology

SUKKUR: On 8 July 2025, Professor Dr.Zeeshan Qaiser, Advisor to the Mayor of Sukkur and Spokesman of the Sindh Government, called on Mr. Surashete Boontinand, Consul General of Thailand at the Royal Thai Consulate General to seek collaboration in key areas of development such as healthcare, digital education, technology for fresh water treatment and medical research on genetic disorders and other tropical diseases. The Consul General welcomed his approach and sought further information on the details of his project proposals for consideration.

He assured Dr.Qaiser of Thailand’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Pakistan at all levels and informed Dr.Qaiser of the up coming bilateral consultation between Thailand and Pakistan which is another official mechanism where all issues of technical cooperation between the two countries, including assistance projects, could be initiated and discussed.

Dr.Qaiser expressed his willingness to invite the CG and his team to Sukkur to explore the Sukkur region for further cooperation. The Consul General thanked Dr.Qaiser for his invitation and shared with the Dr.Qaiser some accounts of his visit to Sukkur last March.
