DUBAI: The Memon Leadership Forum (MLF) convened a pivotal hybrid meeting at the residence of Mr. Akhtar Arfa, Chairman MLF Pakistan, bringing together esteemed MLF leaders from around the world to deliberate on key strategic matters affecting the global Memon community.

Presided over by Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo, Global President of MLF, the session opened with Tilawat-e-Kalam Pak and saw active participation from both in-person attendees and international members via Zoom. High on the agenda was an in-depth discussion on the current geo-political climate and its implications on global gatherings and the proposed Memon Leadership Conference (MLC) 2025.

Potential venues including Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Pakistan, Kenya, Bangladesh, and Turkey were explored. A notable proposal was presented by Mr. Rafique Suleman, Chairman MLF Kenya, to host the conference in Nairobi. However, the final decision was deferred until August 2025 in light of global uncertainties.

The meeting also addressed the review of the revised MLF Constitution, with Mr. Iqbal Sacrane and Mr. Saud Adamjee tasked to finalize the draft by Sunday. The Pakistan chapter will adopt the finalized version before it proceeds to print.

In closing, Mr. Akhtar Arfa and Mr. Hamza Tabani emphasized unity and patience in these uncertain times. Mr. Altaf Tai, Vice Chairman MLF Pakistan, announced his residence as the venue for the next meeting in late July, to be organized by Hon. Secretary Mr. Javed Iqbal.

The evening concluded with a dinner hosted by Mr. Arfa and a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony in honor of Mr. Abdul Rahim Janoo’s birthday, marking the occasion with warmth and fellowship.

Special appreciation was extended to Mr. Faisal Anis, Treasurer MLF Pakistan, for drafting the official minutes of the meeting.
