KARACHI: Biz Today International hosted a very prestigious event titled as ‘Chefs Appreciation Awards’ powered by Imtiaz Enterprises Pakistan, which was aimed to honor and recognize the outstanding contributions of talented chefs to the culinary industry. This event was held on Tuesday, 20th June 2023 at Nami Zumi Restaurant, Marriott Hotel, Karachi.
Event formally kicked off with Uffaira Anis Saad to take this event further as the master of ceremony.
Distinguished guest of honor His Excellency Mr. Herman Hardynata bin Ahmed, Consul General of Malaysia in Karachi shared his fond memories of a Malaysian Chef who established an intimate Malaysian Restaurant located in London, England by the name of ‘Tukdin‘.
Other distinguished guest of the evening His Excellency Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi also shared his fond memories relating to culinary world and chefs.
Founder Biz Today International Irfan Pardesi, during his welcome speech elaborated steps taken to bring this event to life. He spoke highly of Chefs who he has always adored since long and held them responsible for creating new and more flavors by every passing day. After pilots, Chefs are only ones to carry their uniform with dignity. Uffaira Anis Saad highlighted about Biz Today International and its activities.
Chefs received their awards from an elite panel consisting of Founder Biz Today International Irfan Perdesi, Co-Founder Biz Today International Rafiq Vayani, Distinguished guest of honor His Excellency Mr. Herman Hardynata bin Ahmed, Consul General of Malaysia in Karachi, Other distinguished guest of the evening His Excellency Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi and President, Biz Today International Muhammad Nomann Ahmedani.
Chefs who were recognized for their efforts in Pakistan’s culinary industry are Chef Saima Maqbool from National Foods, Chef Farah Hamayoun of Skills Valley, Chef Samia Lari from CEBO, Chef Hiba of Dear Croissant, Chef Raja Abdullah from Ramada Plaza, Chef Ali Abbas at Avari Towers, Chef Faiza Khan Consultant at Superior University & Eat Cloud, Chef Ibrahim Balti from Sindh Club, Chef Mehdi from Arena, Chef Yasir Binyamin from Nami Zumi Restaurant Marriot Hotel, Chef Haji Abdul Qahar from BBQ Tonight and Chef Suarta Abidin Jaya International Chef currently working at Indonesian Consulate in Karachi.
Additionally, this event provided an excellent networking opportunity for Chefs and fellow culinary professionals to connect with fellow culinary professionals and industry leaders.
