Arts Council celebrates Jashan-e-Nowruz

Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi has organized ” Jashan-e-Nowruz ” at Haseena Moin Hall, in which the Director General of Khana Farhang Iran Dr. Saeed Talebi Nia, Farast Rizvi, Syed Najmuddin. Mousvi, Dr. Fatima Hassan, Khalid Irfan, Dr. Ambareen Haseeb Ambar, Naseem Nazish, Alauddin Khanzada participated in the ceremony while Shakil Khan performed the duties of moderator.

Khanzada, Fatima Hassan, Naseem Nazish, Ambareen Haseeb Ambar recited poems while Sameer Humza of Arts Council Music Academy sang Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s lyrics “Tum Mere Pas Raho”. On this occasion, Director General of Khana farhang Iran, Dr. Saeed Talebi Nia said, I congratulate all people on Nowruz, may the new day of the new year be a year of success for all of you, the festival of Nowruz is not only in Islam but also in Turkestan. Apart from Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India, it is celebrated vigorously in many countries, he said, wearing new clothes, removing the grudges of relatives, friends, showing love to them and being together in the rituals of Nowruz.

Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi is the biggest center of literary and cultural activities, program I congratulate President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmad Shah for organizing this event. Farast Rizvi said that Nowruz has two aspects, one is religious and the other is cultural. It is a three thousand year old festival, it belongs to the Vedic era, this ancient festival is celebrated since the time of King Jamshed, it is mainly attributed to fire worshipers, the sun, sanctity, strength, light, goodness. And it has been a symbol of knowledge, 40 crore people in the world celebrate this festival, March 21 is also the day of coronation of Maula Ali (as), all the festivals in the world are related to the season, Nowruz is also associated with spring.
