Awareness Session on “Child Abuse & Mental Health” organised at FPCCI

Law & Order Committee FPCCI Sindh, Under the Convener Mr. Naveed Wahid held 2nd Awareness Session on Stop Harassment: “Child Abuse & Mental Health” at The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry Karachi on the 20th of September, 2022. Welcome note was presented by the Coordinator of Committee Mrs. Syeda Raafia Mamüjee.

Topic Description by Convener Mr. Naveed Wahid, who explained the urgent need to convey the message of awareness to society through internal networking & spreading off the awareness mouth to mouth. Speech by FPCCI VP Haji Yaqoob appreciated the Convener of Law & Order Committee & his Team to organised the informative sessions.

Cyber awareness presentation by Faisal Shaikh – Cyber Security Trainer. Dr. Arshad Saleem, Chief Operating Officer at Humdard Laboratories, elaborated & defined the seriousness of implementation tools to combat Child Mental Health & proven by WHO statistics presentation.

Speech by Chief Guest His Excellency Mr. Bakheet Ateeq Al-Romaithi, Consul General of United Arab Emirates in Karachi. Mr. Bakheet is a veteran diplomat who has a credible experience in International Affairs & supporting this initiative taken by Law & Order Committee. He also stated that he will support the Cause with his expertise.

Mr. Bakheet nominated a Focal Person who will coordinate support & guides for the Law & Order Committee, also a joint to be to be formed of UAE consulate and FPCCI law & order committee of FPCCI to tackle the issue on the topic.

Ms. Nausheen Barkat, Motivational Speaker & Soft Skills Trainer, talked about parenting & understanding the immediate needs of a Child related to Abuse & Mental Health.

It was a great honour to have SSP Suhai Aziz QPM, PSP as our Guest of Honour, who explained the detailed process & law for child abuse & protection. She further said that she will support the committee with her expertise. Speech by Social Worker Rima Aziz regarding the seriousness of increasing day by day child rape.
