Sofitel Dubai Downtown is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Director of Finances – Oughdoud Mohamed.
Backed by more than 12 years of experience in the hospitality sector, Oughdoud has worked with an array of world-renowned brands in his fast-paced career.
Starting his career in Morocco at the Novotel Casa City Centre, he gradually moved to the Accor Gestion Maroc in Morocco. It was then time to take his career international with a new opportunity taking him to Uruguay, where Oughdoud served as a Deputy Financial Controller at Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco & Spa.
Brazil beckoned next with a promising role as the Operational Coordinator & Duty Manager at the Grand Mercure Riocentro Rio de Janeiro. Oughdoud then progressed to Director of Finance at Sofitel Malabo Sipopo Le Golf in Equatorial Guinea.
Two years later, it was time to take another leap in his career in a new role as the Financial Controller at the Novotel Phu Quoc in Vietnam. After two more roles in Vietnam with the Novotel Phu Quoc and Mercure & Ibis Style Vung Tau, Oughdoud sought out a new adventure. Next on his list was Dubai, which is now his home.
Dedicated to implementing bold change that reaps tangible results, Oughdoud’s skillset boasts value-based leadership and business transformation certifications.
In his current role at Sofitel Dubai Downtown, Oughdoud is responsible for spearheading and managing the hotel’s finances. He will work closely with the senior management to align the business’ finances with its objectives.
