AJMAN: During the Holy Month of Ramadan, Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Ajman, Ramada by Wyndham Beach Hotel Ajman and Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche organised a medicine donation drive, in support of Al Ihsan Medical Complex, a long-standing project of Al Ihsan Charity Association.
A total of two boxes containing unused medicine collected from the employees were handed over to the charity organisation as part of the campaign.
Ravi Santiago, cluster general manager of Wyndham hotels Ajman, commented: “In lieu of our continuous food donation campaign, we partnered with Al Ihsan Charity to extend help to the needy by donating unused medicine from our teams. Generally, we do not consume all the prescribed medicine and they usually end up being stored for months or years until they expire. Through this campaign, we are able to put these medications into good use and provide medical aid to the community, especially at this time when health is of utmost importance.”
He added: “We intend to include the collection of unused medicine as a regular CSR activity. This does not entail additional cost on our part thus, we also encourage other individuals and organisations to partake in this drive to give back to society.” Says in press release
