Fujairah Charity Association signs MoU with 07 for ‘Dirham Khayr’ initiative

Fujairah Charity Association announced yesterday the launch of the ‘Dirham Khayr’ initiative, which aims at encouraging the local community to donate to less fortunate families with one Dirham or more through purchases from stores and restaurants participating in the initiative in Fujairah.

This initiative was announced through the official cooperation with O7, the Media and Marketing partner and one of the leading creative agencies specializing in media production, branding, marketing and advertising in the region. O7 will communicate and coordinate with a large pool of retail outlets to have a direct agreement with them to promote the initiative to their consumers which will result in a positive impact.

In this context, H.E. Youssef Rashid Al-murshoudi, Director General of Fujairah Charity Association, said: “The Association is keen to continue providing charitable programs and projects that support the largest number of poor and destitute families and to encourage everyone to do good deeds. We are optimistic about the response of the local community. We believe many donators have the will and “Dirham Khayr” initiative will facilitate the path for them.”

From his side, Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of O7, commented: “We are proud of this constructive cooperation with Fujairah Charity Association, which will devote the culture of charitable and humanitarian work within all segments of the society. Our team is fully prepared to support the Association’s initiatives and to spread the value of this initiative more broadly by engaging as much as possible of participating retail outlets to generate a positive impact and promote the culture of giving. With the support from Fujairah Charity Association and O7, we will provide each registered entity with professional advertising content, including a promotional video and photos of their activities, worth the value of one Dirham (AED).”

It is important to mention that the Association is implementing this year the Iftar meals project in (85) distribution points in Fujairah and Dibba. The number of fasting people expected to benefit from the project 16,666 thousand per day, with a total of 500,000, and this number is expected to increase during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
