A group of senior Karachi-based journalists covering beats of economy and energy has decided to form a united platform, which has been given the title of Council of Economy and Energy Journalist”.
The aims and objectives of the council are to improve the quality of the reporting in the national media; professional capacity building of its members, and the presentation of a true and unbiased picture of the country’s economy through diversified format of media content in the mainstream, and the emerging digital and social media.
The council also envisions strengthening promising ties with all key stakeholders in the government industries, think tanks, authorities, state institutions, and etc. who believes in the empowerment of fourth pillar of the state– the media, the freedom of expression, and the economic prosperity of Pakistan.
In this connection, we are looking forward to holding a meeting with you along with the representatives of the council to discuss a possible line-of-action and various opportunities to work with your organizations under the targeted aims and objectives.
