Dubai Duty Free announces 350th winner of US$1 Million in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Promotion

An Indian expat became a millionaire while another Indian winner will drive away a luxury vehicle when their winning tickets were drawn today in Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise promotions held at Concourse B of Dubai International Airport.

Mr. Suraj Aneed, a 35 year old Indian national based in Abu Dhabi became the 350thwinner of US$1 million when his ticket number 4645 in Millennium Millionaire Series 350, which he purchased online on 20th January was drawn today.

A resident of Abu Dhabi for five years now, Mr. Aneedwho happened to watch the live draw on Dubai Duty Free’s Facebook page, was excited to hear his name announced on the video.

Mr. Aneed is a father of one and works as customer service officer for First Abu Dhabi Bank.

“I cannot believe that I won with my fourth only ticket to the Dubai Duty Free promotion. True enough it’s never too late to start and one should never lose hope. Thank you Dubai Duty Free.” he said

When asked on his initial plans with his win, he said, “I will start a business in India and give some to charities.”

Mr.Aneed who hails from Keralain India is the 175th Indian national to have won US$1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999. Indian nationals make up the highest number of Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire ticket buyers.

Today’s draws were conducted following social distancing by Dubai Duty Free’s Executive Vice Chairman & CEO, Colm McLoughlin, Chief Operating Officer, Ramesh Cidambi, Salah Tahlak, Executive Vice President – Corporate Services and Sinead El Sibai, SVP – Marketing, Mona Al Ali.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw was conducted for a motorbike.

Mr. Rinshad Ali a 32 year oldIndian national based in Muscat, Oman won an Indian Vintage Darkhorse (Thunder Black Smoke) motorbike, with ticket number 0266 in Finest Surprise Series 441, which he purchased online on 16th January.

Born and lived in Muscat, Mr. Ali also saw the live draw on Dubai Duty Free’s Facebook page.

Married and working in an audit company, Mr. Ali was surprised to win this early with his only second ticket to Dubai Duty Free promotion.

“Indeed, there’s a big chance on winning in Dubai Duty Free promotion as compare to other promotions. Big thank you Dubai Duty Free.,” he said.
