Al Jalila Foundation recognises Dubai Duty Free through its “Bassmat Rashid Bin Saeed Campaign”

DUBAI: In recognition of its support of the Al Jalila Foundation, Dubai Duty Free was recognised by the Foundation’s “Bassmat (fingerprint in Arabic) Rashid Bin Saeed”Campaign in a ceremony held at Al Jalila Headquarters in Dubai Healthcare City.

Dedicated to the late Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, renowned for his humanitarian achievements, “Bassmat Rashid Bin Saeed” is a unique giving campaign that uses cutting-edge technology to recognise the donor by engraving its name in the Donor’s Recognition Wall.

The live engraving ceremony was attended by Dr Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation and Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman & CEO of Dubai Duty Free along with the other members of the Al Jalila Foundation and Dubai Duty Free executive management team.

Commenting on the recognition, Colm McLoughlin said, “We have been supporting Al Jalila Foundation since 2017 and we are honoured to support the organisation’s mission to advance medical research in the UAE. Today more than ever, we need to safeguard the health and safety of our people and continue to maintain the values of philanthropy.”

Dr Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, Chief Executive Officer of Al Jalila Foundation, said: “As the UAE looks toward the next 50 years, we are inspired by the great strides we, as a nation, are taking in medical innovation and the advancement of science and research. Designed by Dubai’s leading digital engineers and creatives, the first-of-its-kind robotic donor recognition wall comprises of seven donation categories that invites everyone to play their part, from individuals and families to corporations and philanthropists, with every donor recognised in their own right. Since its inception in 2013, Al Jalila Foundation,a member of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, has led opportunities to increase innovative and impactful medical research. In line with the vision to position the UAE at the forefront of medical innovation, as a non-profit organisation Al Jalila Foundation relies on the support of its partners and donations are invested in healthcare programs to transform lives.
