TAF Foundation-Vocational Training Institute (TAFF-VTI) organized a special graduation ceremony for the first batch of the online Customer Service and Retail Sales Course for Visually Impaired Youth on Tuesday. Thirty-one (31) trainees were awarded certificates in the ceremony after completion of the three-month online course launched by TAFF-VTI. Shields were presented to the top three position holders.

The guests at the event included Ms. Masarrat Misbah (Depilex), Professor Safdar Najmi, Intizar Hussain (Karachi University),  Muhammad Shakil (Blind Resource Foundation Pakistan), and Safira Bibi (Bridge The Gap). The graduates, along with their family members, attended the ceremony.

CEO TAF Foundation, Dr. Hina Hussain Kazmi, in her welcome address, congratulated the trainees and commended the efforts of the instructors for being able to successfully complete the course. Dr. Hina added that TAFF is working towards the empowerment of youth through its Vocational Training Institute and will continue to train the youth to be a part in Pakistan’s economic and social development.

The graduates gave speeches and demonstrated skills that they learnt during the course at the ceremony.

Along its ILM Axis, TAFF runs its one-of-a-kind Vocational Training Institute to train youth in different trades while facilitating job placement for its graduates. So far, TAFF-VTI has trained 1,001 graduates, out of which 92% are placed at decent, living income jobs.
