RAS AL KHAIMAH: The 2020 Nature Morte mural was painted along with fellow faculty artists.
The collaboration resulting in two vibrant, large, magnificent, nature inspired murals depicting the forest scenery with added elements of floral, fauna and forest creatures bathed in light.
Soraya Sikander, who paints from her studio in the Emirates, has experimented in a new medium to produce her new work, as part of a larger investigation into painting.
Nature Morte murals are Referencing Impressionism, Pointillism and Action Painting.
Through the use of bright colours, the large scale, nature based, wall paintings, revisit the spontaneous joy of painting. Rooted in a classical, academic approach to painting, suggesting formalist training, with use of strong light, shade and form.
