Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw and results announced


DUBAI: An Indian school principal in Ajman became the latest winner of US$1 million in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw held today in Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport.

Mrs. Malathi Das, an Indian national based in Ajman has joined the long list of Indian winners when her ticket number 0297 in Millennium Millionaire Series 334 was drawn today. Mrs. Das bought her winning ticket online on 26th June.

A longtime resident of Ajman, and a regular participant to Dubai Duty Free promotion for 32 years now, Mrs. Das, who is the Principal for Global Indian School Ajman was over the moon to finally hit the jackpot.

‘From the bottom of my heart, a very big thank you Dubai Duty Free. I will continue to buy tickets to your amazing promotion be it online and every time I traveled when it is safe to do so’.

Mrs. Das is the 165th Indian national to have won US$1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999. Indian nationals make up the highest number of Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire ticket buyers.

Today’s draw was conducted following social distancing by Dubai Duty Free’s Executive Vice Chairman & CEO, Colm McLoughlin, Chief Operating Officer, Ramesh Cidambi and Salah Tahlak, Executive Vice President – Corporate Services.

Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, two other winners were announced in the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise Promotion.

Mr. Hirohito Ohtsuka, a 29 year old Japanese national based in Moscow, won a Mercedes Benz S560 (Diamond White) with ticket number 0902 in Series 1755 which he bought online in June.

Originally from Tokyo, Mr. Ohtsuka moved to Russia in January to work for an energy company in Moscow.

‘Thank you for the wonderful chance of winning my dream car. I never imagined to win this early as I only started buying tickets to your promotion when I came to Moscow in January.’

Lastly, Mr. Krunal Mithani, a 34 year old Indian national based in Sharjah, became the proud owner of an Aprilla Dorsoduro 900 (Exciting Dark) motorbike in Series 414 with ticket number 0807.

A resident of Sharjah for 8 years now, Mr. Mithani works as an IT Manager for a shipping company in Dubai was delighted to win with his in the motorbike promotion which he purchased online. BIZ TODAY MONITOR
