The event was also graced by H.E. Hessa Tahlak, Assistant Undersecretary of Social Development, Ministry of Community Development, who through her keynote session, highlighted the role of the Ministry in empowering Emirati women and ensuring their social well-being with the support of several initiatives and programs.

Essam Al Tamimi, Senior Partner and Founder at Al Tamimi & Company, said: “Today about 66% of the UAE’s labour force is constituted by women who are leading positive changes in every field. It is indeed inspiring to see how the UAE has become a regional role model in promoting and achieving gender balance across different sectors, roles and segments. The country not only offers a conducive environment for Emirati women to pursue their career aspirations but also has several initiatives in place to empower and enable them. I’m optimistic that under the UAE’s exemplary leadership and considering the great progress made by our Emirati women, their future will continue to shine brighter with their impact being more profound in the generations to come.”

The “Let’s Talk UAE” initiative was formed as an interactive platform for both female and male Emiratis to discuss and address some of the key themes relating to the UAE’s growth and development. Through a series of insightful sessions and discussions, the event deep dived into relevant topics, including, the digital age and brand reputation, preparing the next generation for wealth, future proofing family businesses, safeguarding personal data and identity, and the roadmap and roadblocks for success in women entrepreneurship. One of the most notable takeaways from the event was the integral role Emirati women play towards creating a better UAE and in driving forward the country’s development and vision.

Maya Prabhu, Managing Director, Head of Wealth Advisory, EMEA, J.P. Morgan Private Bank, said: “It was an honour and privilege to address a room full of inspirational Emirati women who are making great strides in the realms of government and business, while also creating a palpable impact on the community and wider economy. They are breaking boundaries and becoming a force to be reckoned with, and I hope this trend sees a positive domino effect in encouraging more women to chase their dreams and fulfil their career aspirations.”
