KARACHI: Venue was the Media-tech of Alliance Française (French Cultural Center), where the book and art aficionados converged recently to be part of the inaugural ceremony of Karachi University’s Economics Department student Shafia Khan’s book Bhatka Hua Mun and paintings.
According to the author Bhatka Hua Mun and the supporting paintings are meant to raise awareness and understanding of the difference it makes to people’s lives by showcasing lived experience.
Bhatka Hua Mun harbors short stories, pieces on travel and philosophy in Urdu: “This book, a melange of fact and imagination, sheds light on various aspects of life. It is a travelogue, auto-biography, containing write-ups on the history of Neelum Valley and philosophy,” maintains the author.
