DUBAI: If you are looking to boost your skills or get a refresher before the start of a new academic year, Middlesex University Dubai is holding a series of Summer Skills Workshops throughout August and September, free for new and returning students, who have confirmed their place for the September 2019 intake. Through workshops covering Postgraduate Business Fundamentals to careers and academic skills, the University aims to support students to prepare themselves for a successful academic year.

Between 20 August to 18 September 2019, students can join complimentary pre-sessional workshops. Facilitated by the University’s Centre for Academic Success (CAS) and the Careers and Employability Service (CES), these workshops include academic skills, employability skills, and digital literacy workshops. There are also business refresher workshops for students joining the University’s postgraduate classes, providing them with the fundamentals of business areas including finance and marketing.

“At Middlesex University Dubai, we provide a student experience unlike any other, and to ensure a well-rounded experience for our students, we organise yearly summer workshops to help students keep up with the rapidly changing environment and prepare them for their studies,” commented Dr Cedwyn Fernandes, Director and Pro Vice-Chancellor of Middlesex University Dubai.

He further added, “We would like to encourage new and returning students alike to take full advantage of these complementary classes as they plan their future and begin a new chapter of their academic life. Our students stand out and our preparation classes enable them to hit the ground running from September, teaching them how to get the most out of their student experience.”
