Top Thai Brands Expo to open in Pearl Continental on July 20

KARACHI: Aiming to enhance bilateral trade between two countries, a three-day expo “Top Thai Brands 2019” exhibiting top brands of Thailand is being organized on 20-22 July 2019 at Pearl Continental Hotel Karachi.

The exhibition is being managed by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government and Event & Conference International.

A large number of products will be displayed during this three day exclusive event. These Thai products include cosmetic & herbal, food items, plastic house ware, bulbs, gas stove, locks, auto parts, chemical adhesive, water pump & generator, agricultural machinery, industrial paints, footwear, fishery equipment, corrugated plastic sheet for packaging, advertising etc.

In a statement, Rashid Ul Haque, Director, Event and Conference International said that both countries have witnessed bilateral trade increased and are willing to further enhance it. This exhibition is an effort of the Department of International Trade Promotion, Royal Thai Government to expand trade opportunities for both nations.

Trade volume between Pakistan and Thailand is increased upto 676 million US dollars approximately within few years. Our major exports to Thailand are yarn & fibers, chemicals, finished oils, edible meat etc. Main imports from Thailand are household products, food items, beverages, medicines, cosmetics, herbal products, motorcycles & auto parts, rubber products etc, he added.

Rashid Ul Haque told that in growing global markets, it is needed that our business community should pace up and catch its share in cake. Such events provide a unique platform to all stakeholders for grabbing opportunities. We are expecting around 50,000 visitors from all walks of life, he hoped.
