MAWHIBA delegates visit Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University

A high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia’s King Abdulaziz & his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (MAWHIBA) headed by Secretary General Dr. Saud bin Saeed Al-Mathami visited Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) to discuss possible areas of cooperation and the establishment of joint channels for knowledge transfer, dissemination, and enrichment in the Arab world.

During the meeting, HBMSU showcased its pioneering experiences as one of the top regional and international higher education pioneers. The visiting delegation commended the university for its leading role in the use of smart technology in the education sector to help bring about positive socio-economic change at the local and international levels. The meeting also highlighted the university’s academic, research, and professional programs designed to build a qualified generation of future innovators. The attendees also tackled the university’s learning infrastructure and capabilities according to the requirements of the 21st century.

Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU, was happy to meet with the delegation as he emphasized the importance of consolidating relationships as well as exchanging best practices and experiences with the most prestigious academic institutions in the Arab world.

He said: “We are honored to welcome the MAWHIBA delegates. Their visit provided us with an ideal opportunity to enhance our relationship and explore ways of collaboration to shape the future of the region’s higher education based on innovation, technology, and knowledge.”

Dr. Al Awar added: “At HBMSU, we aim to share our pioneering experiences as the first accredited university to promote smart learning in the region on the basis of three pillars of innovation, disruption, and transformation. By doing so, we aim to build new generations with excellent academic records and who are knowledgeable and innovative as they help shape the country’s future. This is in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and the President of the University, who considers the young people as a key pillar of advancement and development of all segments of society. We reaffirm our commitment to explore and open new horizons for fruitful strategic partnerships with regional and international academic communities. We will build new partnerships to continue the path of excellence in reshaping the future of teaching and learning through the adoption of a smart education approach.”
