DUBAI: The last day to submit entries for ‘Streets of The World’ photography competition is December 19. Winning photographs will be part of the international photo exhibition ‘Streets of The World’ that will kick-off its world tour in Dubai from 20 January to 5 April 2019 at Al Seef. After Dubai, the exhibition will go to Paris, London, Berlin, and New York.
The world’s largest photo exhibition ‘Streets of The World’, which is supported by Dubai Chamber in cooperation with Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), Meraas, The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA), Philips Canon, and Globally Connected Companies; will feature photographs taken by famous Dutch photojournalist Jeroen Swolfs highlighting daily life in capitals of 194 countries, that will be displayed along the Dubai Creek at Al Seef by Meraas in a 1.8 km-long exhibition.
In line with the international exhibition, ‘Streets of The World’ photography competition was launched in partnership with HIPA under the theme ‘Connecting Humanity’. The competition is open to everyone, and participants are invited to capture photos of Dubai in two categories: ‘Soul of Dubai’ and ‘Spirit of Dubai’.
Dubai Chamber is judging the ‘Spirit of Trade’ category which invites photos about business between people in the Dubai Creek area where Dubai first established itself as a trading hub.
Participants can upload their entries for ‘Streets of the World’ photography competition by visiting HIPA website. Competition closes on December 19. Winners will be announced on January 20, the opening day of the exhibition, and winning photos will be part of the exhibition and receive prizes from Canon. News Desk
