For this reason, he has been using Malaysian palm olein for a few years. The Consul-General and Johari Minal, Consul, Consulate-General of Malaysia later witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for one year supply of palm olein between China Castle Restaurant and Pacific Commodities, the sole supplier of imported Malaysian palm olein in Karachi. It signals the confidence and commitment by China Castle Restaurant in using Malaysian palm olein.  Rizwan Feroze has no compromise on the quality of frying/cooking oil used in his restaurant to maintain its reputation as star-rated restaurant.

HE Khairul Nazran Abdul Rahman highlighted that Malaysian palm olein is a perfect frying oil; it has an excellent frying performance and very nutritious with balanced fatty acids and high content of vitamin E especially  tocotrienols. This speaks volume for the world-wide usage of the Malaysian palm olein as frying oil by the food industry and as cooking oil by household consumers.

It was further explained that Malaysian palm oil has been consumed in more than 150 countries. Palm oil has gained worldwide recognition and acceptance due to its unique properties, nutritious and versatile applications as well as the competitive price over other vegetable oils. Refined palm olein is one of the major products from palm oil exported from Malaysia to other countries including Pakistan. Malaysian palm olein is used globally for both batch and continuous frying because it offers high resistance towards oxidation, least formation of breakdown products at frying temperatures and longer shelf life of fried foods. In fact, Malaysian palm olein is considered as the gold standard in frying and is perhaps, the most widely used frying oil in the world.

The certificate, with a one-year validity up until August 2019, is an assurance for the customers of China Castle restaurant that only authentic high quality imported Malaysian palm olein is used in the food preparations. The diplomats of the Consulate-General of Malaysia will visit the restaurant periodically for audit inspection.
