K-Electric & Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education collaborate to plant hundreds of trees

KARACHI: As part of its Plant for Pakistan initiative and continuing efforts for environmental sustainability, K-Electric organized a tree plantation drive at DIHE. More than 500 plants were distributed and planted at DIHE campus.

The senior management of both the organizations inaugurated their partnership for a greener Pakistan by planting saplings at DIHE Campus. According to KE Spokesperson “Environment sustainability is a key area of focus for our organization and we are committed to provide an opportunity to the community to take collective efforts in order protect the environment which further consolidates the values of environmental protection and sustainable development that we strive for. Collaborating with like minded organizations like DIHE fulfills our objective to create mass awareness about the significance of a greener environment.”

DIHE spokesperson said, “KE has been playing its part for a greener Pakistan since the last few years and now it’s time for all of us to play our part for a sustainable environment. We are grateful to K-Electric for such initiative, and look forward to collaborating with them again in the future for such initiatives.”

Since the launch of Plant for Pakistan initiative, under KE’s climate change policy, more than 80,000 trees have been planted. The power utility aims to plant thousands more by 14th August. The utility benefits more than 4.6 million lives annually through its Social Investment Programme. News Desk
