DUBAI: Al Rawabi Dairy Company, the largest UAE-based dairy company, by herd size and production, has reported its half-year results for 2018, announcing a 12% increase in revenue, compared to the same period in 2017.
The record growth is driven by the company’s strong retail performance brought by the introduction of a series of products such as Al Rawabi Skim Long Life Milk, Al Rawabi Triangle Cheese, Al Rawabi Paneer Cottage Cheese and Nutree Boost Laban.
Dr Ahmed El Tigani, Chief Executive Officer, Al Rawabi Dairy Company, said: “The first half results were in line with our expectations based on our solid business strategy. One of our Core Values is Innovation which enables us to adapt to the changing market situations and this results to “out of the box” products and concepts. The growth in sales of our functional products, in addition to our dairy and juices, is a strong testament to our commitment to promote our nation’s health by offering healthy dairy and juice products.”
These functional products are enriched with multivitamins and minerals and are designed to address the health concerns of the GCC population such as the Al Rawabi Vitamin D Milk which will resolve the burning issue of more than 80 percent of the population being Vitamin D deficient. Adult needs around 2000 units of Vitamin D on a daily basis and Al Rawabi Vitamin D Milk is designed to supply that daily requirement.
On the juice side, Al Rawabi also addresses health concerns such as hypertension and diabetes. Previously, the company launched Super milk, first fresh milk enriched with multivitamins and minerals, and Nutreeboost, first functional Laban enriched with oats, vitamins, and minerals.

Al Rawabi products which include yoghurts, Laban, cheese and flavored beverages have been recognized by a lot of UAE household as well as doctors and nutritionists.
El Tigani added ‘the focus this year was on taking an active presence in the digital and social media platforms. “When we launched the new series of functional products, we also launched several campaigns on our digital and social media platforms to increase awareness whilst promoting the health benefits of the products.” News Desk
