KARACHI: Presidential elections for the tenure of 2017 to 2019 (remaining duration) of Okhai Memon Jamat (OMJ) were held at Hussein Ibrahim Sports Complex, Hussainabad, Federal B. Area, Karachi on Sunday,28 January and Abdul Razzak Muhammad Tahir Khosa bagged 2326 votes and elected President of Okhai Memon Jamat.
According to OMJ’s member of Media Committee Rafiq Vayani; “elections process started at 09:00 am in the morning and went on till 05:00 pm in the evening without any break, election process was a smooth sailing throughout the day and members of the community casted their votes with their newly issued bio-metric membership cards by OMJ”.
Immediately after announcing the official results Chairman of Election Committee congratulated the winner president-elect Abdul Razzak Khosa and then Muhammad Asif Gabrani took oath from president-elect Abdul Razzak Khosa.
After taking newly elected President of OMJ Abdul Razzak Khosa in his speech at the oath taking ceremony said; “my first priority would be to bring back social workers who were earlier ignored and I encourage them to come back and serve the community. He further said; OMJ’s bio-metric or with any better alternate we will try to centralize the system and to connect main office and branch offices of OMJ. This will help members to get their membership cards and other facilities with the help of our computerized officers. News Desk
