Mad Decent Block Party set to hold concert in Pakistan next month

ISLAMABAD: American DJ and record producer Thomas Wesley Pentz, also known as Diplo is all set to bring his Mad Decent Block Party to the country’s capital this February. After a successful concert in Islamabad two years ago, where he played a show alongside Elliphant and local Pakistani musicians,Adil Omar and Talal Qureshi (SNKM), Diplo reveals to fans on Twitter that Block Party will be making its debut in Pakistan.

This year, the Grammy winner Diplo will be accompanied by members of Major Lazer Sound system, American- based DJ and producer Valentino Khan,Adil Omar and Talal Qureshi (SNKM), American based DJ Chrome Sparks,Lyari Underground (L.U.G),Shamoon Ismail and more local artists for the biggest night of electronic dance music in Pakistan’s history.

Mad Decent  is a Los – Angeles Based American record label founded by Diplo founded in 2006. In 2013, Block Party upgraded to a 13-city tour from its previous year’s five-stop visitation, and in 2014, it landed in 22 cities across North America. They also chartered a cruise ship in 2015.

Diplo, one of the most dynamic forces in music today, has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Madonna, Shakira, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Usher andChris Brown among many others in the global entertainment industry.

Adil Omar announced on Twitter that he will be releasing his self-produced solo debut album ‘Transcendence’ in 2018.
Talal Qureshi was also recently in studio with Naseebo Lal and Younis Jani for an upcoming solo project with Patari and Red Bull.
