DUBAI: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has announced that applications are now being accepted for the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MRM) Business Award and the MRM Business Innovation Award, which are open to all private companies in the UAE and GCC, regardless of their type, size, and sector (including non-free zone and free zone companies).
Companies will have until February 28th, 2018 to apply for the awards, and registrations are limited and accepted on a first-come first-served basis.
The prestigious awards are part of the MRM Business Performance Program, which is designed to equip its participants with useful tools and resources that can help them prepare for the awards, while it also enables companies to assess their performance and identify areas where they can improve.
More than 1,400 companies from across the UAE and GCC have participated in the award programme since its inception in 2005. Earlier this year, a total of 32 winning companies were recognised during the last cycle of the awards, representing a wide variety of economic sectors. To date, over 150 companies have been awarded for their outstanding achievements.

Hamad Buamim, President and CEO of Dubai Chamber, said: “These prestigious awards are the highest level of recognition for business excellence and innovation in the UAE and GCC, and we are extremely proud at the remarkable progress which has been achieved by participating companies over the years. He explained that the continued support and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has greatly contributed to the success of the awards, adding that they serve as a source of inspiration for companies operating in a wide variety of economic sectors.

A member of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and an initiative of Dubai Chamber, the MRM Business Award was initiated in 2005 to recognise and celebrate the success of organisations that contribute to the sustainable economic development of the UAE and the wider GCC region.
The MRM Business Innovation Award, launched by Dubai Chamber in cooperation with the UAE Ministry of Economy in 2015, aims to encourage companies across the GCC to embrace innovation. The award places a strategic focus on transforming business models to meet current and future challenges.
