The City School’s Early Years Academic Moot – An Overhaul through innovation



KARACHI: The City School successfully completed its annual academic moot. With over two hundred teachers, school heads and management participating, the event was set to re-engineer the learning and development process of playgroup to class 2. Held at their campus in Defence, the academic moot focused on new methods and techniques of inculcating confidence and a desire to explore knowledge in children.

According to many psychologists and child experts, over 70% of a human’s personality is developed during their early years of life. This is the reason why The City School takes particular interest in constantly upgrading its teaching methods so that the children of today can be happy, healthy individuals of our society tomorrow and contribute towards making the world a better place.

The key focus in this years’ moot was integration of technology in the classrooms, technological skills and preparing children to be comfortable in using gadgets for learning and problem solving. Many important tasks of the future will be dependent on their ability to use software and hardware that are being developed today.

Also under focus was the integration of technology in teaching to learn languages, communicate more openly and freely, solving mathematical problems and making the learning process more fun and effective at the same time.

Such focus on integration of technology through the annual Academic Moot is one of many reasons why The City School has been a leader in the education industry and a name that has been trusted by parents for over 40 years.
